Solgun sarı renginde, renklendirici yok, soğuk filtrasyon uygulanmamış. 15 yaşındaki viski limitli sayıda piyasaya sunulmuş; alkol oranı %59,5 ve toplam 230 şişe.

Bowmore 2000’i ilk kez Cenevre’deki Bar du Nord’da tatma fırsatı bulmuştuk. Klasik burbon tarzıyla bizi fazlasıyla memnun etmişti; lezzetli ve yumuşak bir deneyim yaşatmıştı. Şu günlerde ulaşmak çok kolay olmayabilir; o yüzden peşine düşecek arkadaşlara bol şans. En azından bir viski barda denk gelirseniz harika olur. Tertemiz ve çok iyi kotarılmış müthiş bir Islay; Laing ailesini tebrik etmek gerek.

Founded in 2010 by Andrew and Scott Laing, Edition Spirits is a small, family-owned independent bottler. Bowmore 2000 is part of the company’s The First Editions range, a limited series focusing on single-cask expressions.

Nose: fresh lemonade, vanilla, peat, honeysuckle.
Palate: creme brulee, peaches, brine, thyme, smoked bacon.
Finish: long, oak, earthy spice, malt and peat.
A couple of minutes with air added floral notes.

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2016, this vintage Bowmore is a 15-year-old limited-edition release from Bowmore Distillery with an outturn of only 230 bottles. The whisky is fully matured in a refill hogshead (Ref: HL12312). It boasts a pale, natural yellow colour and is non-chill-filtered. It has an ABV of 59.5%.

We tried this Bowmore at Bar du Nord in Geneva, and it took us all by storm with its classic bourbon-style; so delicious and smooth. It is a clean, well-crafted Islay and hard to find these days; good luck to hunters, and fingers crossed for finding an open bottle at the whisky bars. Of course, kudos to the Laing Family; a magnificent whisky.
